Step Out Against Child Abuse Walk
About This Event
Grab your family and friends to help us close out Child Abuse Prevention Month with a one mile walk around one of Wake County’s many parks and preserves. We'll also be sharing the Five Protective Factors with our communities in order to create a culture of awareness and support.

Parks participating:
- American Tobacco Trail
- Crowder County Park
- Green Hills County Park
- Historic Oak View County Park
- Lake Crabtree County Park
- Sandy Pines Preserve
Park Meetup Information:
- Crowder County Park: Meet at the volleyball court. Walk the paved path around the perimeter of the park.
- Oak View: Meet outside the Farm History Center. Walk around the Pecan Grove.
- Sandy Pines: Meet at the picnic area adjacent to the parking area. Walk the Longleaf Pine Pond loop (trail 2 with pink markers).
- Lake Crabtree: Meet at the gravel lot near the spillway and walk Old Beech Nature Trail.
- American Tobacco Trail – New Hill Entrance: Meet at the comfort station and head north.
- Green Hills: Meet at the playground and walk the pedestrian loop and Top of the Hill Trail.
